The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.

SASSA will be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed regarding the significant number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of sassa clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The company stage developed for intervention activities a significant influx of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tricky for that Workplace to attend to all people who go to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to empower the servicing of all buyers and enhance use of Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
